Early prototypes showed that finished plates could occasionally remain partially attached around the hotbed area. We added a front crossbar to help push the finished plate out more consistently.

We also refined the installation hardware after testing different A1 units and added friction-enhancing details to reduce unwanted movement in the waiting-plate tray.

Key structural components were moved to injection-molded production instead of relying on users to print them themselves. This provides more consistent dimensions and removes variables caused by filament choice, slicer settings, and individual printer accuracy.

PlateCycler C1 builds on our experience with PlateCycler C1M for Bambu Lab A1 Mini and was inspired by the SwapMod concept, with authorization from SwapMod.

The objective was not simply to make one plate swap work. It was to make repeated multi-plate printing practical for everyday A1 users.
