Most importantly, make sure to wear nitrile gloves anytime you intend to handle liquid resins. The first step is to check the model. Make sure to prepare your model well, so as to not get a failed print, you should check the orientation, dig a hole, and support settings.

The second is to print profile settings. (exposure time, lift speed, etc.) Your local printing environment and resin setting greatly affect the final print quality. Conjure series resin requests a temperature of 25-30 ℃.

The third step is to check the printer status before printing. Make sure your vat is clean,(no extra piece in the vat, or it will affect the quality). Then make sure your plate leveling well, for normal resin, it is easy to print, The Conjure series resin especially for the sculpt resin has a higher viscosity, you have to level the bed very well before printing, It has shallow penetration depth making the adhesion between layers not very strong. (For bigger printers the leveling is more important) and adding more lifting distance and reducing the lifting speed will help to get better results.

Fourth is to shake the resin before use. You need to shake the bottle for a few minis if your resin is not used in a long time. Then, clean the prints. It is better to clear the resin before post-curing because the chemical reaction is not completed during the first printing. There is uncured resin left on your prints.

We recommend using Ethanol or IPA and a painter brush (or any brush made of hair) to remove uncured resins. Ensure the prints are cleaned well if you have a wash station. For some complex prints, an ultrasonic cleaner is the best choice to clean them. Dry and post-curing. Dry the prints before curing them, and use 395~405nm UV light for about 60s to cure them. If you need more time to cure the prints, maybe your prints are not cleaned well.

Lastly, add the putty. The resin material is not that good in durability compared to the filament. The humidity and light affect it even if it is post-cured. There are some advantages of putty. Color anti-interference ability, cover the original color of the model parts to prevent color deviation. Easy to reflect the details after the putty base to facilitate the inspection of surface defects and textures. The putty base has stronger adhesion to the paint to prevent paint loss.

About Conjure sculpt resin

Now I want to introduce one resin to you. Conjure Sculpt high-detailed resin with very clear detail performance, the best resin for miniatures and display pieces. Conjure sculpt provides a smooth surface, and 33% elongation at break makes it non-brittle and more durable than normal resin. It is a good option if you are printing highly detailed miniatures.

More detailed information about this resin

This resin has many pros. Now I will tell them to you one by one. It has high precision with an extremely smooth surface, which is the best choice for highly detailed miniatures and display pieces.

Conjure Sculpt high-detailed resin is more durable than standard resin, and unbreakable when dropped from the desk. Higher viscosity, better machinability, and is harder to print, but worth trying if you want the best surface quality.

What’s more, it is compatible with most LCD and DLP printers and recommended print temperature range of 25℃~30℃. With low shrinkage, you can expect the prints to come out the same size as your file design, with no more glue, magnet, sanding, and other post-process workload. In addition, Conjure Sculpt high-detailed resin has high toughness and is non-brittle.

Conjure sculpt follows the ASTM D638 test, we get the elongation at break 32%, which means it has good toughness and you can expect unbreakable prints. Lastly, I want to say this resin has a longer shelf time. Conjure resin has an 18 months shelf time, and the package protects resin very well from leaking.

Now let me tell you how to use this resin

Shake well before use, prohibiting the use of resin in places where there is a lot of sunlight. Wear gloves before use to avoid direct contact with the skin and keep the room ventilated. Inadvertent contact, as soon as possible use a lot of water rinse.

If you feel unwell, seek timely medical attention. Printed models need to use high-concentration alcohol to clean about the 30S (recommended concentration of 95% or more, the higher the better). Attention, do not pour the resin in the resin vat into the unused resin and do not leave the resin in the resin vat for a long time without use to avoid resin pollution affecting the printing effect(a long time without the resin can be introduced into airtight containers or sealed with plastic wrap shading save).

There are some notes you should know. Please remember the following tips. Shake well before use. This resin is recommended temperature of 25°C – 30°C. Wash with plenty of water immediately if you get direct skin contact with the resin. Most importantly, keep away from children, dust, and direct sunlight!

How to choose the right resin?

For miniatures or figures, the details and unbreakable are key demands, you can use Conjure Sculpt resin, or mix the Siraya tenacious with normal resin. For FDM printing parts. you can use the Conjure Rigid or Tough, it has a better surface and is much faster than FDM printers, after painting you get almost the same durability. For dental or other user you may have to find professional customized series like Formlabs.

Storage method:

· Keep away from light seals at room temperature. (Sunshine contains a lot of UV light, which will solidify photosensitive resin. After testing, the light is not affected as long as it is not UV light).

· It is recommended to save at 25 ℃ -30 ℃ ambient temperature, the lower the temperature, the higher the viscosity of the resin. Sealed storage, excessive dust, or moisture can affect print quality. Sunshine contains a lot of UV light, which will solidify photosensitive resin.

All in all, you can get more detailed printing models if you use this resin. Come on, just have a try, you will never regret it.
