PEI Build Plate for FDM 3D Printers
Chitu Systems PEI build plates provide a removable spring steel printing surface for a wide range of FDM 3D printers. PEI offers reliable first-layer adhesion during printing, while the flexible steel plate makes finished models easier to remove after the bed cools.
Multiple sizes are available for selected Anycubic, Bambu Lab, Creality, ELEGOO, Flashforge and Prusa printers, including popular models such as the Bambu Lab A1, A1 Mini, X1 and P1P, Creality Ender-3 and K1 series, Anycubic Kobra series, ELEGOO Neptune series and Flashforge Adventurer 5M.
- Reliable First-Layer Adhesion: PEI provides a dependable printing surface for common FDM filaments when the build plate is clean and correctly heated.
- Flexible Spring Steel: Remove the plate after printing and gently flex it to help release finished models.
- Multiple Surface Options: Choose double-sided textured PEI, textured PEI + PEO, or textured PEI + smooth PEI according to the surface finish you want.
- Reusable Build Surface: Designed for repeated printing and easy daily maintenance.
- Wide Printer Compatibility: Multiple plate sizes cover selected Bambu Lab, Creality, Anycubic, ELEGOO, Flashforge and Prusa 3D printers.
Choose the Right PEI Build Plate Surface
Different build plate surfaces create different first-layer finishes. Choose the plate type based on the appearance and printing experience you prefer.

How to Use a PEI Build Plate
- Make sure the PEI surface is clean before starting a print.
- Place the spring steel sheet flat on the compatible magnetic build platform.
- Use the correct bed temperature and first-layer settings for your filament.
- After printing, allow the build plate and model to cool before removal.
- Remove the flexible sheet and gently bend it if additional help is needed to release the print.
- Avoid sharp tools that may scratch or damage the PEI coating.
PEI Build Plate Cleaning & Care
Keeping the print surface free from fingerprints, oil and filament residue helps maintain consistent first-layer adhesion. Follow the cleaning method appropriate for your selected PEI or PEO surface and allow the plate to dry completely before printing.
Wait for the plate to cool before removing prints. For materials that bond very strongly to PEI, follow the filament manufacturer's recommendations regarding glue or a release layer to help protect the build surface.
